Say Cheese!

I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and make the switch to an SLR camera.  (More accurately, I have some extra grant money and I'm taking a photography class next semester so...yay!  I'm getting a new camera!)

I spent the other night watching youtube videos and researching websites comparing the Canon Rebel T3 and the Nikon D3100.  I've narrowed it down to these two, they are in my budget and same price.  So here's my brief overview after my intense research:  the Nikon has more "technical stuff" but the Rebel is supposed to be more user friendly.  I think user friendly might win out ;).  Plus I have two friends with Canons who are close by for moral support.

The BFF suggested I get my paws on each of the cameras before I made my decision.  So when I was at Sam's Club last week, and since they don't have any over-zealous salespeople at the counter, I started handling all of the options.  They're all still attached but you could get a pretty good handle on them.  So I picked up the Nikon, (you're right, Jen, it has a good feel).

Then I picked up the Canon, and that's when all heck broke loose.  Every camera in the entire display starts blinking a red light and emitting an ear-piercing screech.  So I stand there for like a minute, waiting on somebody to come help me (or arrest me).  And nobody, I mean NOBODY (it was the early morning business-only hours) even looked at me.  I looked around for another minute.  Still nobody.  So I finally just walked off.  But OH MY GOODNESS, I'm pretty sure my face was flaming.

I had to go back to Sam's this morning and seriously I'm pretty sure my face flared up when I walked by the cameras.

And there's my embarrassing moment for the week!
