Friday's Recipe Swap

I have leftover candy coating from my Christmas Bake-O-Rama. Here's what I'm hoping to do with it today. Or maybe I'll wait until tomorrow, it's snowy/rainy and cold here in my neck of the woods. I'm thinking I may need an afternoon nap today. Yeah, I'm making these tomorrow...yawn.

I'm going to use Apple Jacks that I scored a couple weeks ago for $1 a box--the big box! Same with the Golden Grahams, Food Lion often puts their cereals B1G1 add a nice coupon in there..SWEET!

Pretzel Cereal Crunch
1-1/4 cups Golden Grahams
1-1/4 cups Apple Cinnamon Cheerios
1-1/4 cups miniature pretzels
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1 package (10 to 12 ounces) vanilla or white chips
2 tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the cereals, pretzels and pecans. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chips; stir until smooth. Stir in peanut butter. Drizzle over cereal mixture; toss to coat. Spread evenly on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Cool completely; break into pieces. Store in an airtight container. Yield: about 9 cups.
